The Planet Eclipse GTek was introduced in October 2015 and was the first spool valve marker in the mid-price segment of Planet Eclipse to join the Etek5.
The GTek is based on Planet Eclipse's experience with the Geo series. In addition the GTek takes over some of the technology of the High End Geo series as well as the Etek5. However, the revolutionary core of the GTek is a completely new development:
The Gamma Core.
This is a bolt system which requires only 135 PSI working pressure (at approx. 280 FPS) and the optimum air volume for each individual shot is provided completely independently of the electropneumatic valve (solenoid) by a pneumatically locking spool. This allows the marker to work extremely efficiently and reliably in any playing situation and under all conditions. Be it at -20°C or well over 40°C.
The Gamma Core has a precisely tuned, three-step acceleration phase of the bolt, so that even the most fragile paint can be played. The bolt gently absorbs the paintball during acceleration and then presses it into the barrel. The throttle release of the shot cycle has also been designed in such a way that there is only a very slight pressure peak, which, in addition to gentle ball handling, also contributes significantly to the GTek's quiet shot noise and soft feel.
The Gamma Core can be maintained without tools thanks to the quick-release fastener. Already known from the Etek5 and Geo3.5, the SL4 inline regulator is low-maintenance, rugged and easy to use, and easily handles air systems that deliver between 250-850 PSI output pressure. The electronics uses the Etek5 board, which can be upgraded with a separately available OLED display. The barrel is Shaft 4/5 compatible.
